Ginetta G50 Championship
The Ginetta G50 was Ginetta’s first creation under its new LNT Automotive management and the car was been designed in-house at LNT’s new purpose-built factory in Leeds during 2007. Through 2008 the cars proved themselves to be fast, reliable and by far one of the safest cars around and after an impressive debut season the championship secured its spot alongside the British Touring car championship for 2009, this took the already strong championship to its next level and is now one of the most successful and competitive championships around with great grids, close racing, fantastic TV and media coverage and a level of support from Ginetta which is second to none. For 2011 although the G50 Cup will race along side the new G55 Super cup it will be in its own class with its own podiums and championship.
To win the G50 cup in 2011 will be a hard task for any driver with capacity grids expected but Rob Austin Racing can make the challenge a little easier!
Rob Austin Racing are the longest running "Ginetta" team, they were a factory supported team in the European GT4 championship running the G50-GT4 car, they have more experience with G50's than anybody bar Ginetta themselves and have won many G50 cup races to back up their vast experience.
Coupled with an unrivalled level of professionalism, a clean sharp and promotable image and good value for money Rob Austin Racing lead the way in Ginetta racing. Our drivers also benefit from the input and advice of experienced G50 race winners and lap record holders (Hunter Abbott and Rob Austin) and ex Formula 1 and GT world champion mechanics.

Rob Austin Racing's debut in the GT4 category in 2008 may not have been the most successful start with this almighty crash at Oulton Park during the first race (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ISkbk7cAR3I) But to spite that meaning the team effectively missing three points scoring opportunity's the team still managed to finish the 2008 British GT4 championship in the runner up spot. 2009 saw limited grids in british GT and to spite several victorious outings at the start of the season the team decided to make the step up to the more prestigious European GT4 championship which is a thriving championship with full grids and a fantastic variety of different racing cars.
The team initially fielded the one car and after several strong performances and podiums they also took over looking after a second Ginetta G50 GT4. Finishing off the season having won several races and finishing 1st and 6th in the overall standings.
For 2010 Rob Austin Racing are hoping to continue their success and are currently looking for drivers with budgets to work with to win the championship for a second time running. Please feel free to contact us for more information.

Ginetta G20 Challenge
"I have driven in many many different championships over my years as a driver but I can say with my hand on my heart that I have never enjoyed racing so much! I have never been in the heat of battle, dicing for the lead with a big smile across my face like I have with these and I have never driven anything where it is even feasible that I would swap places for the lead 6 times in one lap! You don’t get racing like this every day but you do seem to every day you race a G20.
And tell me where else can you complete a full seasons racing with this level of competition, media coverage, testing, tuition and with a professionally run team looking after you for anywhere near the 30k mark?" Rob Austin
ABOUT THE CHAMPIONSHIP
The Texaco Havoline Ginetta Championship represents a low cost opportunity to race in a single-make racing series that provides entertainment for both spectators and the racer with modest running costs.
Because all of the cars are identical, it's up to the driver and basic car setup to come out on top. It's normal for four cars to be abreast down the pit straight coming to start the last lap!
The package supported the high-profile Formula 3 / British GT package over the past few years with TV coverage on Sky TV and a presence in motorsport media.
A 15 minute qualifying session determines grid positions for the weekend's two 20-minute races. A driver's fastest lap in this time is taken into account for race one's grid, whilst their second fastest lap relates to their starting position for race two.
For 2010, the G20 championship will see its name rebranded as the GINETTA CHALLENGE. The championship will once again provide close racing and low entry fees.
The 2010 season will be contested over 7 weekends in a mixture of one and two day events. The provisional calendar is as follows:

03 April - Oulton Park
May / June - TBC
03/04 Jul - Snetterton
17 Jul - Rockingham
14/15 Aug - Silverstone GP
25/26 Sep - Brands Hatch GP
16/17 Oct - Donington Park
