Rob Austin Racing victorious with the Surtees TS19 at the Silverstone Classic

The Rob Austin Racing team won their class in both races at the annual Silverstone classic meeting last weekend with the iconic Surtees TS19 and to add to the succsess the car was so good it was even mixing it with the newer ground effect formula 1 cars coming in 3rd overall. Qualifying was going well until an incident with a back marker on the final run. The car came in with a lot of front end damage but the team worked well into the night and did a Stirling job to get the car ready for the first race on Saturday. With team Principal Rob Austin at the wheel the car scored fastest lap in both races and was so competitive it even led overall for the early stages of the second race. The car which is prepared and run by Rob Austin Racing showed it’s true potential this weekend, with a great set up on the car combined with our very own experienced Driver this car is well on it’s way to winning more and more races so watch this space! Next outing for the Surtees is at the Nurburgring 14/15th August
