Historic Race Preparation
The Historic racing scene is something Rob Austin Racing has become progressively more involved with over the last few seasons and is becoming a big part of the teams business.
Team principal Rob Austin threw himself and his workforce in at the deep end in 2007 when he agreed to completely restore a customers Triumph TR5 during an already busy season.
This involved the car being stripped to its bare shell and rebuilt with new chassis, all new welded in roll cage, engine rebuild, completely repainted and re-wired. The team met their deadline and did it in fine style, the old Triumph is now more a work of art than a racing car now.
It’s hard not be be wowed and seduced by the absolute magic of our rich and varied historic racing pedigree…
